Target is the third full length release from The Rank Strangers, a Minneapolis band made up of three Michigan transplants and one native Minnesotan, who have been a staple in the Twin Cities rock scene since 1990. With inspiration from the Rolling Stones and the Beatles, their music is influenced as much by the heavy rock of the MC5 as the clever witticism of the Replacements. This collection of 12 songs is packed with cleverly thoughtful lyrics, evocative guitar licks and just enough pop sensibility to make the songs immediatly memorable. Target is the follow-up to their Minnesota Music Award Nominated (Best Rock Recording) CD "Mystery Spot".
